What information must be included in the “request” portion of a patent application?

The “request” is a formal component that frames the application. Section 34, Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines, provides that the request shall contain a petition for the grant of the patent, the name and other data of the applicant, the inventor, and the agent, as well as the title of the invention. This information identifies the parties and the subject matter in a standardized way. It also helps the Intellectual Property Office manage, index, and publish the application accurately.   21-Dec-25
