Atty. Norieva “Nikki” de Vega is the Managing Partner of Nicolas & De Vega Law Offices (NDV Law). She obtained her Juris Doctor degree in Law from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law where she graduated Class Salutatorian . She also received the Silver Medal Second Honors award. Moreover, she was bestowed the Silver Medal for Academic Excellence for her achievements in the field of academics. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from the University of the Philippines in Diliman. Moreover, Nikki holds a Master of Laws degree in Global Competition and Consumer Law from the University of Melbourne, Australia which ranks as the top 6 best law school in the world. In addition, she has finished the intellectual property law School Program of the Instituto de Estudos Europeus de Macau. Furthermore, she has successfully completed the Intellectual Property Training for Lawyers held in Tokyo, Japan and sponsored by the Japan Patent Office in coordination with the Association on Overseas Technical Scholarship. She also holds a Certificate from the World Intellectual Property Office (WIPO) for her completion of the WIPO Summer School on Intellectual Property held in Daejeon, Republic of Korea.

A multi-awarded lawyer, Nikki’s latest awards include the coveted Woman Lawyer of the Year in 2021 granted by the Asian Legal Business Philippine Awards and Civil & Political Lawyer of the Year in 2021 by the APAC Legal Awards.

A duly registered resident representative accredited by the Philippine Intellectual Property Office, Nikki primarily practices intellectual property law, including licensing and technology transfer agreements and the prosecution and maintenance of trademarks, copyrights, patents, utility models, industrial designs. She has helped numerous clients, both local and foreign, protect their intellectual property rights in the Philippines.  Moreover, she has successfully handled several opposition, cancellation and infringement cases. With a portfolio of over a thousand clients throughout the world, Nikki has cemented her reputation as one of top intellectual property lawyers in the country.

Nikki also specializes in election law, competition and antitrust law and entertainment law. She has represented and given expert advice to numerous politicians. In the realm of competition law, she is one of the few lawyers in the country who specializes in this field and is armed with a Master of Laws degree in Global Competition and Consumer Law.

Also a family lawyer, Nikki has helped countless families assert their rights under the Philippine Family Code.

Before forming the firm, Nikki was connected with Carpio Villaraza & Cruz (CVC Law), where she practiced intellectual property law, Corporate Law and Litigation.

Nikki is a law professor at the Far Eastern University Institute of Law where she teaches Constitutional Law Review to graduating law students. She is also a thesis/dissertation defense panelist. Pertinently, she is duly accredited as a Trainer by the Licensing Executives Society International.

In addition to teaching, Nikki is a media practitioner and a member of the Kapisanan nang mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas. At present, she is the host of the  show entitled “Ang Buhay at Batas” aired live on television and at DZRJ 810AM Teleradyo together with Atty. Karlo Nicolas every Tuesday 12 – 1:00 p.m. In the show, she and Karlo dispense free legal advice to those who seek help. Likewise, she was the host of the radio show “Mind Your Own Business” from 2011 to 2015 aired also at DZRJ 810 AM. In addition, she was a radio announcer at DWLA-FM 105.9 from 1997 to 1998. Nikki is also a regular columnist at FranchisingPH, one of the leading resources in franchising in the Philippines. Moreover, she also writes for OFWHotjobs, a magazine devoted to Filipino overseas workers. Pertinently, Nikki has appeared in numerous television shows and radio programs as a legal expert in various fields of law such as business, labor, election, family and the like.

Nikki is also active in the community. She served as the President of the prestigious Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry – Mandaluyong  and Vice- Chairman of the Mandaluyong Micro Small Medium Enterprise Development Council (MSMED Council). Further, she a Director of the Philippine Red Cross Rizal Chapter and a member of the Soroptimist International Pasig.

Nikki is a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, Federacion Internacional De Abogadas, Licensing Executives Society (LES Philippines), Association on Overseas Technical Scholarship Alumni Association, The Law Association for Asia and the Pacific (LAWASIA)International, LAWASIA Philippines, Legal Management Council of the Philippines, International Association for Contract and Commercial Management and Sigma Delta Phi.

A humanitarian leader, Nikki has implemented numerous service and charitable projects in the community of Mandaluyong pertaining to nutrition, maternal health, legal aid, education, etc. as a past President of the Rotary Club of Mandaluyong Uptown (RY 2013-2014), District Chairman for Public Image of Rotary District 3800 (RY 2015 – 2016) and District Chairman for Rules and Procedure (2018-2019).
