What happens to infringing copies and devices after a final court order?

The court may order the infringer to deliver all infringing copies or devices for destruction without any compensation. This order also extends to plates, molds, or any other means used for manufacturing the infringing materials. Such destruction ensures that the illegal items are removed from circulation permanently. This measure is provided in Section 216.1 Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.   “(d) Deliver under oath for destruction without any compensation all infringing copies or devices, as well as all plates, molds, or other means for making such infringing copies as the court may order.”   January 8, 2026
