Can apprenticeship programs be held in public institutions instead of private firms?

Apprenticeship programs are not strictly limited to private firms and can indeed be hosted in public facilities. Organizers have the option to conduct the training entirely within a Department of Labor and Employment training center. They may also utilize other public training institutions if it suits their apprenticeship scheme better. This public venue alternative is formally permitted and described in Article 63 Labor Code of the Philippines. “(b) Apprenticeship entirely within a Department of Labor and Employment training center or other public training institution;” 31-May-26
