Who is not entitled to the benefits of the exceptional circumstances defense provided in Article 247?
Any person who shall promote or facilitate the prostitution of their wife or daughter is disqualified from invoking this defense (Article 247, Revised Penal Code). Likewise, any person who shall otherwise have consented to the infidelity of the other spouse shall not be entitled to the benefits of this article. This caveat prevents individuals who encourage or consent to the dishonor of their spouse or daughter from claiming exemption or mitigated punishment.
