Who is considered a contributory infringer?
A person who induces infringement or provides a specialized component for an infringing product is liable. They must know the component is specifically adopted for infringement and not for other substantial uses. Such individuals are jointly and severally liable with the primary infringer. This liability for contributory acts is defined in Section 76 Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines. “76.6.
