Who investigates complaints regarding the violation of an apprenticeship agreement?

The government ensures that apprenticeship agreements are strictly followed and provides a mechanism for addressing any violations. Investigations can be initiated either upon the formal complaint of any interested person or upon the government agency’s own initiative. The appropriate agency of the Department of Labor and Employment, or its authorized representative, is tasked with conducting this investigation. The authority and procedure for such investigations are mandated by Article 65 Labor Code of the Philippines. “ART. 65. Investigation of Violation of Apprenticeship Agreement. – Upon complaint of any interested person or upon its own initiative, the appropriate agency of the Department of Labor and Employment or its authorized representative shall investigate any violation of an apprenticeship agreement…” 31-May-26
