When is the deadline for a corporation to furnish a stockholder with its most recent financial statement upon written request?

A corporation is mandated to furnish a stockholder or member with its most recent financial statement within ten (10) days from receipt of their written request (SEC. 74, Revised Corporation Code of the Philippines). The financial statement provided must be in the form and substance required by the SEC’s financial reporting rules. If the total assets or total liabilities of the corporation are less than Six hundred thousand pesos (P600,000.00), the financial statements may be certified under oath by the corporation’s treasurer or chief financial officer, rather than being audited by an independent CPA. At the regular meeting, the board must present a full financial report of the previous year’s operations.
