What rule governs the provision and deduction of subsidized meals by employers?

The rules for subsidized meals are governed by Section 4, Rule VII-A, Book III of the Rules Implementing the Labor Code. Employers may provide these subsidized meals as long as the subsidy is not less than 30% of their fair and reasonable value. Consequently, the employer may deduct up to 70% of the meal’s value from the employee’s wage. This deduction must be executed pursuant to a Facility Evaluation Order issued by the concerned RTWPB. 15-May-26
