What penalty is imposed upon parents who neglect their children’s education?
Parents who neglect their children by failing to give them the education required by their station in life and permitted by their financial conditions shall suffer a penalty (Article 277, Revised Penal Code). This is the offense of indifference of parents concerning education. The penalty imposed upon the neglecting parents is arresto mayor and a fine not exceeding One hundred thousand pesos (P100,000).
