The Ombudsman has the duty to determine the underlying causes of inefficiency, red tape, mismanagement, fraud, and corruption in the Government. After identifying these root causes, the office is responsible for making recommendations for their elimination. It also promotes the observance of high standards of ethics and efficiency across all government branches.
