What is the required vote in the House of Representatives to affirm an impeachment resolution?

A vote of at least one-third of all the Members of the House is necessary to affirm a favorable resolution with the Articles of Impeachment. This same one-third threshold is also required to override a contrary resolution from the Committee. During this voting process, the vote of each Member must be properly recorded. This voting requirement is officially defined in Article XI, Section 3, 1987 Philippine Constitution. “(3) A vote of at least one-third of all the Members of the House shall be necessary either to affirm a favorable resolution with the Articles of Impeachment of the Committee, or override its contrary resolution. The vote of each Member shall be recorded.” 06-Mar-26
