What is the penalty for slight physical injuries that do not prevent the victim from engaging in habitual work or require medical assistance?
If the offender causes physical injuries that neither prevent the offended party from engaging in their habitual work nor require medical assistance, the penalty is lighter (Article 266, Revised Penal Code). The punishment imposed shall be arresto menor or a fine not exceeding Forty thousand pesos (P40,000). The offender shall also incur censure for this act, which indicates a formal reprimand.
