What is the distinction in penalty for Mutilation concerning the organ of reproduction versus any other body part?

Mutilation involving an essential organ of reproduction carries the most severe penalty, specifically reclusion temporal to reclusion perpetua (Article 262, Revised Penal Code). This penalty is imposed upon any person who intentionally mutilates another by depriving them, either totally or partially, of some essential organ of reproduction. Conversely, any other form of intentional mutilation, such as cutting off an ear or other non-essential member, is punished by prision mayor in its medium and maximum periods.
