What happens if an employer does not have adequate facilities to test apprentice-applicants?

The lack of internal testing facilities does not exempt an apprenticeship program from assessing its applicants properly and fairly. The government actively steps in to ensure that necessary aptitude testing is still conducted for these prospective apprentices. If employers do not have adequate facilities for the purpose, the Department of Labor and Employment shall perform the service. Furthermore, the DOLE will provide this essential aptitude testing service entirely free of charge, as mandated by Article 68 Labor Code of the Philippines. “If they do not have adequate facilities for the purpose, the Department of Labor and Employment shall perform the service free of charge.” 31-May-26
