What constitutes Less serious physical injuries and what is the standard penalty?
Less serious physical injuries are defined as those which incapacitate the offended party for labor for ten days or more, or require medical assistance for the same period, but do not meet the criteria for Serious Physical Injuries (Article 265, Revised Penal Code). Any person inflicting injuries matching this description is guilty of less serious physical injuries. The standard penalty imposed for this crime is arresto mayor.
