The penalties for administering injurious substances or beverages without intent to kill are determined by reference to the penalties established for Serious Physical Injuries (Article 263, Revised Penal Code) and are applicable in the respective case (Article 264, Revised Penal Code). The offense requires the person to inflict upon another any serious physical injury by knowingly administering any injurious substance or beverages. It is also committed by taking advantage of the victim’s weakness of mind or credulity.
