What are the rules for protecting works of architecture?

Protection is afforded to works of architecture that are erected within the Philippines. It also extends to other artistic works incorporated into buildings or structures located in the country. This ensures that physical structures and integrated art are legally recognized. These points are covered in Section 221.1 Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.   “(c) Works of architecture erected in the Philippines or other artistic works incorporated in a building or other structure located in the Philippines;”   January 8, 2026
