What are the requirements and vote for a religious society to incorporate?
A religious society may incorporate upon the written consent and/or by an affirmative vote at a meeting called for the purpose of at least two-thirds (2/3) of its membership (SEC. 114, Revised Corporation Code of the Philippines). This incorporation is intended for the administration of its temporalities or for the management of its affairs, properties, and estate. Incorporation is only permitted if it is not forbidden by competent authority, the Constitution, pertinent rules, regulations, or discipline of the religious denomination of which it is a part. The articles of incorporation must be verified by the affidavit of the presiding elder, secretary, or clerk, or another member of the society.
