How much time does an aggrieved person have to appeal an apprenticeship violation decision?

The law provides a very strict and brief timeframe for appealing decisions related to apprenticeship agreement disputes. Any aggrieved person who wishes to contest the initial decision of the authorized DOLE agency must act promptly. The appeal must be formally filed within exactly five days from the receipt of the disputed decision. This precise five-day prescriptive period for filing an administrative appeal is legally established in Article 66 Labor Code of the Philippines. “ART. 66. Appeal to the Secretary of Labor and Employment. – The decision of the authorized agency of the Department of Labor and Employment may be appealed by any aggrieved person to the Secretary of Labor and Employment within five (5) days from receipt of the decision.” 31-May-26
