How long is the term of a Collective Bargaining Agreement concerning representation?

The representation aspect of a CBA fixes the exclusive bargaining agent for a significant and stable period. Any Collective Bargaining Agreement that the parties may enter into shall, strictly regarding the representation aspect, be valid for a term of exactly five years. During this time, the majority status of the union is generally protected from any outside challenge. This extended term limit is set by Article 265 Labor Code of the Philippines to promote long-term union stability. “ART. 265.
