Can a female worker allocate her maternity leave to the child’s father?

A female worker can voluntarily allocate a portion of her maternity leave to the child’s father. Republic Act No. 11210 allows the mother to transfer up to seven days of her paid benefits. This allocation is completely permissible whether or not the father is legally married to the female worker. It provides an additional opportunity for fathers to participate actively in early childcare. 16-May-26
