Are there offices to which a Congress member cannot be appointed?

Are there offices to which a Congress member cannot be appointed?   A member cannot be appointed to any office created during their elected term. Furthermore, they cannot be appointed to offices whose emoluments were increased while they were in office. This rule prevents members from creating lucrative positions for themselves. This prohibition is found in Article VI, Section 13 1987 Philippine Constitution.   “Neither shall he be appointed to any office which may have been created or the emoluments thereof increased during the term for which he was elected.”   01-Feb-26
