Are airplane pilots allowed to solemnize marriages in flight?
Airplane pilots are granted the legal authority to solemnize marriages in exceptional situations. They can officiate a marriage in articulo mortis involving passengers or members of their crew. This rule is defined under Article 31 Family Code of the Philippines. The solemnization is valid whether it occurs in flight or during stopovers. “Art. 31.
