Who has the authority to appoint the officials and employees of the Constitutional Commissions?

The Constitutional Commissions are legally granted the power to appoint their own personnel. They possess the direct authority to select and hire their respective officials and employees independently. However, this appointing power must always be exercised in strict accordance with existing laws. This administrative independence is recognized and granted by Article IX, A, Section 4 1987 Philippine Constitution. “SECTION 4. The Constitutional Commissions shall appoint their officials and employees in accordance with law.” 06-Mar-26
