What penalty is prescribed for serious physical injuries that cause illness or incapacity for labor for more than 30 days?

Physical injuries that cause the illness or incapacity for labor of the injured person for more than thirty days are penalized less severely than those resulting in permanent loss or prolonged disability (Article 263, Revised Penal Code). The penalty imposed for this subdivision is arresto mayor in its maximum period to prision correccional in its minimum period. This category applies when the impact of the injury, though significant, does not meet the thresholds for the more severe penalties outlined in the preceding subdivisions.
