What is the statute of limitations for recovering damages in IP cases?

  No damages may be recovered after four years from the time the cause of action arose. This means a plaintiff must file their claim within this specific window. After the lapse of this period, the right to seek financial compensation is lost. This limitation is set by Section 226 Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.   “SEC. 226.
