What is the retirement age for professional racehorse jockeys?

Based on Article 302 of the Labor Code of the Philippines, racehorse jockeys face a uniquely early compulsory retirement. Jockeys duly licensed by the Philippine Racing Commission must actively retire at 55 years old. They must have served five years and paid additional mandatory SSS premiums. This thoroughly recognizes the extreme physical demands of racing careers. 18-May-26
