What is the Philippine policy regarding the use of war?

The Philippines explicitly renounces war as a tool of its national policy. Instead, the nation adopts generally accepted principles of international law as part of its own legal framework. The State is committed to a policy of peace, equality, and justice in its dealings. As stated in Article II, Section 2 1987 Philippine Constitution, the country also adheres to amity with all nations.   “SECTION 2. The Philippines renounces war as an instrument of national policy, adopts the generally accepted principles of international law as part of the law of the land and adheres to the policy of peace, equality, justice, freedom, cooperation, and amity with all nations.”   30-Jan-26
