The grossly improper disposal of regular personal information is severely penalized by mandatory imprisonment ranging from six months up to two full years. In addition to this custodial sentence, a substantial fine ranging from One hundred thousand pesos up to Five hundred thousand pesos is actively imposed. This penalty strictly applies to anyone who knowingly or negligently discards the personal information in a publicly accessible area or simple trash container.
