What is the duty and penalty for a person who finds another wounded or in danger of dying in an uninhabited place?
Any person who finds another wounded or in danger of dying in an uninhabited place is required to render assistance (Article 275, Revised Penal Code). This duty applies provided the person can render such assistance without detriment to themselves. Failure to provide assistance results in the penalty of arresto mayor, unless this omission constitutes a more serious offense.
