What is the duration of Parental Leave for Solo Parents?

The law guarantees a specific number of parental leave days for qualified solo parents annually. Under Republic Act No. 8972, a solo parent is granted not more than seven working days every year. These seven days are fully paid, legally forfeitable, and strictly noncumulative from year to year. The employee must have rendered at least six months of service to be eligible for this annual benefit. 16-May-26
