How long is the term of office for Civil Service Commissioners?

The Members of the Civil Service Commission serve for a fixed and strictly defined duration. The Chairman and the Commissioners are appointed for a term of exactly seven years. Furthermore, this term is absolute, as they are to serve completely without the possibility of reappointment. This fixed seven-year term is established in Article IX, B, Section 1 1987 Philippine Constitution. “(2) The Chairman and the Commissioners shall be appointed by the President with the consent of the Commission on Appointments for a term of seven years without reappointment.” 06-Mar-26
