How does the penalty for Infanticide differ if the child’s mother commits the crime to conceal her dishonor?

If the child’s mother commits the Infanticide for the express purpose of concealing her dishonor, she shall suffer the penalty of prision mayor in its medium and maximum periods (Article 255, Revised Penal Code). This is a mitigated penalty compared to the general penalty for Infanticide, which may reach death. If the maternal grandparents, or either of them, commit the crime for the same purpose of concealing the dishonor, they shall suffer the penalty of reclusion temporal.
