How does the law mandate the compensation of persons with disabilities?

The compensation of qualified employees with disabilities is protected under Republic Act No. 10524, also known as the Magna Carta for Persons with Disability. Under this law, a qualified employee with a disability must be subject to the exact same terms and conditions of employment as a qualified able-bodied person. This equality strictly extends to their compensation, privileges, fringe benefits, and allowances. Employers cannot legally reduce their pay solely based on their disability. 15-May-26
