The Data Privacy Act generally applies to the processing of all types of personal information, but it provides specific exemptions for government personnel. Information about any individual who is or was an officer or employee of a government institution that relates to their position or functions is explicitly not covered. This strict exemption includes their specific title, business address, office telephone number, and the salary range of the position held.
