Can schools develop IP policies in relation to licensing organizations?

Educational institutions may develop their IP policies in relation to licensing agreements with collective organizations. This helps manage rights and permissions for the use of copyrighted works. Such collaboration ensures that the institution follows industry practices. This is allowed under Section 230 Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines.   “These policies may be developed in relation to licensing agreements entered into by the learning institution with a collective licensing organization.”   January 8, 2026
