Are workers paid by results entitled to minimum wage?
Workers paid by results are absolutely entitled to receive minimum wage. According to Department Order No. 125, Series of 2013, homeworkers, piece-rate workers, and those on takay or pakyaw basis must receive no less than the prescribed regional minimum wage rates. This prescribed rate applies to normal working hours not exceeding eight hours a day. If they work less than normal hours, they must receive a proportional amount of the minimum wage. 15-May-26About Nicolas and De Vega Law Offices
