Are the President and Vice-President allowed to receive other emoluments?

During their tenure, the President and Vice-President are prohibited from receiving extra financial benefits. They shall not receive any other emolument from the Government or any other source. This rule is designed to prevent conflicts of interest and ensure total dedication to the public. It reinforces the principle that their official salary is their only lawful compensation. Article VII Section 6 1987 Philippine Constitution   “They shall not receive during their tenure any other emolument from the Government or any other source.”   03-Feb-26
