Are kasambahay or domestic workers legally entitled to regular holiday pay?

In direct relation to Article 94 of the Labor Code of the Philippines, kasambahay and persons in the personal service of another are excluded from standard holiday pay coverage. These specific domestic workers are generally governed by specialized laws that handle their distinct employment conditions and unique benefits. Because their work environment is exclusively within a private household, regular corporate holiday rules do not strictly apply to them under this provision. Consequently, the mandatory holiday pay benefit explicitly does not extend to these personal service workers. 15-May-26
